We heard recently that Apple is expected to call the new iPad 3, the iPad HD, as last week we saw some information from a couple of accessory manufacturers.
Now according to a recent report by Cnet, they have received some more information from a developer which points to the iPad HD name, which would make perfect sense for Apple.
We have heard previously that Apple is expected to continue selling the iPad 2 along with the new iPad HD, just like they have done previously with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S.
Why the Name iPad HD Makes Sense
The name “iPad HD” suggests a significant upgrade in the display technology, which aligns with rumors about the new iPad featuring a high-resolution Retina display. This would be a major selling point, as the Retina display has been one of Apple’s most praised features in their other devices, such as the iPhone and MacBook Pro.
