Electric Vehicles or EV’s are becoming more and more popular, and now GM is apparently working on a more affordable version of the Chevrolet Volt.
Prices for the Chevrolet Volt at the moment start at around $35,000, GM are looking to reduce the starting price of their EV from 2016.
There will be different models of the Volt available with different prices, and the entry level model will start at $30,000 or around this price instead of $35,000.
The cheaper Chevrolet Volt will apparently have a lower range of around 300 miles and also offer less equipment that the existing model.
The new cheaper Chevrolet Volt will apparently be launched in 2016, and GM hopes this will help boost sales of their EV, they have apparently sold 58,000 Volt’s to date, where as Nissan have sold around 80,000 of their Nissan Leaf.Filed Under: Auto News, Top News
