Earlier this month it was announced that we could expect a new style of smartwatch to launch over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website, called the Moment Smartwatch.
As announced the Moment Smartwatch has indeed launched on Kickstarter today, in its bid to raise $100,000 to help it make the jump from concept into production.
In just its first day the Moment Smartwatch has already over 400 backers generating nearly $70,000 in pledges towards its $100,000 goal, with still 29 days remaining on the project.
The Moment Smartwatch takes the form of a bracelet band with a 360 degree touch surface, rather than a traditional circular watch face as on the Moto 360, and is fitted with a 30 day battery and a full QWERTY keyboard together. Check out the video below to learn more about this very unique and innovative smartwatch and its features.
“The design team at Momentum Labs knows that most people like technology, but they don’t want the technology to define them. That’s why we have worked hard to develop a product that appeals first as a watch or an accessory and second as a device packed with technology.
We believe the Moment Smartwatch is the perfect blend of style and technology. We start with a solid piece of stainless steel and machine it down to form the structure of our watch. This gives us a very strong, rigid base to build on. Inside the steel base we assemble the electronics which have been carefully selected to provide the Bluetooth connectivity to your phone and the features you need without being excessive.
We then complete the watch with a semi-transparent, surface-hardened lens that allows the technology to remain hidden until you are ready to use it. “
So if you think Moment Smartwatch is something your life could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and assist the Moment Smartwatch reaching its pledge goal.
