Lots of companies have been focusing on mobile, one of those who have focused on it heavily is YouTube, which is part of Google, and now it looks like their efforts have paid off.
Now 40 percent of YouTube’s traffic comes from mobile devices, this is up from 25 percent last year and from 6 percent for the previous year.
If YouTube’s mobile traffic keeps growing at the current rate, then it will not be long before mobile traffic, overtakes the web traffic, and Google have a number of new features planned for YouTube on mobile in the future.
From November, mobile YouTube users will be able to save videos and then watch them online, and there are also a number of other new features in the works as well.
YouTube are not the only company who are concentrating on mobile, Facebook is another company who has seen massive growth on mobile over the last few years.
