Last week, Microsoft rolled out an iPad trade-in program which entitles consumers to a $200 gift card for their used iPads, which can be used to buy a Surface RT or Surface Pro tablets. Now, the Redmond giant is offering another trade-in program in collaboration with Clover that allows users to get rid of their iPhone, iPad or any other device in return for a rebate of up to $350, which can be used to purchase a new Microsoft product such as Lumia 1020 or Surface tablet, etc.
Unlike the iPad trade-in program, you don’t have to visit a Microsoft store near your place. You can get a quote for your product online. How? Find out after the break.
Just visit the website in the source given below and search the device you want to trade-in from their database and it will give you a quote for your product, which can be up to $350. It will also question about the condition of the device. After you send your gadget, it will obviously be examined by their team as well to check if it’s working properly, before they send you the rebate.
Then you submit the proof of purchase of your new Microsoft product by providing information such as model and make, service provider, device’s serial number or IMEI etc. After doing that, you will provide them with your mailing address where you would like to receive the gift card. Within 30 days of shipping your old device, you will receive a prepaid Visa card from Microsoft/Clover.
The program can be a little time consuming, but it saves you the hassle of selling your device via other channels such as eBay, etc.
