Microsoft has started selling two versions of the Galaxy S8 on their online store, the Microsoft Edition Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The handsets come with the same specifications as the regular S8 and S8 Plus.
The difference between these devices and the original handsets is that they come with Microsoft apps built in and also the Microsoft Launcher. These apps can be downloaded to any S8 device from Google Play as can the launched.
Microsoft Launcher, available from the Google Play store, gives you the ability access your calendar, documents, and recent activities in your personalized feed. You can even open photos, docs, and webpages on your Windows PC with a Microsoft account or work/school account, so you can be productive across all your devices. A single tap on a file in the Android home screen feed will trigger it to launch on a PC, allowing you to work seamlessly between your Android phone and Windows computer.
Microsoft is selling the two handsets unlocked, the Galaxy S8 is available for $724.99 and the S8 Plus for $824.99. The handsets are also available for Verizon and AT&T. You can find out more details about these Microsoft themed Galaxy smartphones at the link below.
