“With Apple’s inclusion of access to the live camera data, we can now utilize our mobile SDK to allow developers and brands to take full advantage of augmented reality experiences on the iPhone,”
Metaio is hoping iOS 4 developers will embrace its augmented reality platform similar to its apps for other mobile OS systems Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile.
Augmented reality is still in its infancy at the moment but as more and more companies join the development with Layar and Qualcomm its only a short time before augmented reality will become a major part of our apps.
