The easy to use 8V barbecue lighter is now available to back via Kickstarter with pledges starting from €30 or £27. The Maxxfire has been designed to provide users with a battery operated barbecue lighter that doesn’t require a second source of energy to kindle the embers. The powerful heating element ignites the charcoal and the integrated fan makes a grill ready for use in a couple of minutes, say its developers. “We want to make lighting your barbecue safer, easier, faster and more environmentally-friendly. We are really excited about this product and believe it could change the way we BBQ.”
If all goes well in the Kickstarter campaign successfully raises the required €15,000 over the next 29 days backers can expect to receive their BBQ lighter during June 2018, with early bird backers receiving mayors during May 2018.
