It has been revealed this week that Mattel the well-known toy company will be acquiring Fuhu the creator of the range of Nabi kids tablets which have been rolling out over the last few years specifically designed for children.
The Nabi kids tablets in the past have been supplied with a wealth of child friendly content, as well as providing parents with control over accessibility depending on the child’s age, needs and requirements.
Interestingly over on the FuHu website the company is also filing for relief under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Although the company says this is more of a procedural method rather than an actual decommissioning of the company.
Any orders that have been placed via the Nabi Shop will be shipped out to customers as normal and Fuhu explains that it will continue to providing standard support and honour warranties for tablets that have already been sold. For more information on the acquisition jump over to the FuHu and Facebook website via the link below.
As soon as Mattel announces any plans it has for the Nabi range of children’s tablets we will keep you updated as always.
