The new Mass Effect 3 game will be the third and final in the series, will be arriving in just two months time, and is currently being developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts.
A new interview with BioWare Pulse has revealed that the new game will provide a much more emotive experience for players. Deepening the characters within the games and providing characters with a more human side. Watch the interview with Mass Effect 3 Lead Writer Mac Walters to discuss the nuances of driving emotion and character development within the Mass Effect 3 world.
Lead Mass Effect writer Mac Walters explains:
“One of the things we wanted to do in Mass Effect 3,”-“was deepen Shepard as a character, so you really get to express what your Shepard is feeling and going through, throughout the war.” “We wanted to take that next step with the story telling. Yeah, it’s a war, yeah it’s got giant robots we get to shoot in the face, but there is a human side to the story. You are role-playing, and you are role-playing as a human. Why shouldn’t that human have an emotional component throughout the game?”
Mass Effect 3 will be arriving on March 6th 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and will mark the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games, completing the story of Commander Shepard.
