Troubled 3D printer manufacturer Makerbot that has recently seen profits tumble and needed to restructure its workforce, has this week released a new Makerbot Mobile app for Android devices in the form of version 2.0.
Version 2.0 of the Makerbot Mobile app brings with a number of new features tweaks and enhancements and will soon be followed up by the release of version 2.1 says Makerbot. Allowing users to access various device preferences and notifications on their Android devices.
Makerbot explains a little more about their mobile Android app:
“If you have an Android smart phone with a Wi-Fi or Cellular data connection, you can now 3D print from virtually anywhere. Access and monitor any of the latest line of MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printers, whether the printer is at the office, in the classroom, or waiting for you at home. When you start a print and can’t be near your MakerBot 3D Printer, you can remotely check on its status with the onboard camera feed to ensure it’s still printing.”
