The Mad Catz MOJO gaming console was announced back in June, and now we have an official release date for the device, it will launch in the US on the 10th of December and will retail for $250.
According to Mad Catz, the MOJO will be available in limited quantities at launch, the device uses NVIDIA’s new Tegra 4 processor and come with some interesting specifications.
“The M.O.J.O. Micro-Console for Android has attracted strong interest due to its high-performance hardware, open software platform and the ecosystem of accessories,” said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. “M.O.J.O. is the center piece of our GameSmart™ mobile initiative and brings core gaming experiences to the mobile platform.”
The MOJO is powered by a 1.8GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and will come with 12GB of RAM, it will also feature 16GB of internal storage, this can be expanded by a microSD card slot which will support up to 128GB cards.
Other specifications on the Mad Catz MOJO HDMI out, Bluetooth, Ethernet and 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, the device will also come with one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port.
The Mad Catz MOJO will run Google’s Android OS in the form of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the console it now available to pre-order, you can find out more details over at Mad Catz.
