It has been revealed today that the Macworld iWorld 2014 conference has now been put back from its original February dates, into March 2014.
The Macworld iWorld 2014 conference will now take place from March 27-29th 2014, and will move from Moscone West to Moscone North in San Francisco, reports the Macworld website.
The annual Macworld iWorld 2014 conference is produced by IDG World Expo, who explained that the date change will:
“make life easier on exhibitors and attendees alike: It avoids overlap with the 2014 Super Bowl, to be played on February 2, and gets a little more distance from the holidays, winter travel, and the annual CES conference in early January.”
Reasons for the Date Change
The decision to reschedule the Macworld iWorld 2014 conference was not taken lightly. The organizers at IDG World Expo considered several factors before making the change. One of the primary reasons was to avoid a clash with the 2014 Super Bowl, which is a major event that garners significant attention and could potentially reduce attendance at the conference. By moving the dates to late March, the organizers aim to ensure that exhibitors and attendees can fully focus on the event without the distraction of other major events.
Additionally, the new dates provide a buffer from the holiday season and the winter travel rush, which can often complicate travel plans for many attendees. The annual CES conference in early January is another significant event in the tech world, and by spacing out these major events, IDG World Expo hopes to make it easier for industry professionals to attend multiple conferences without feeling overwhelmed.
