As well as announcing their new Livestream Google Glass app at this year’s NAB 2014 event, Livestream has also unveiled their new Studio Control Surface, which has been created to support any edition of Livestream Studio.
The new Livestream Studio Control Surface is now available to purchase for $5,999, and more information is available in the video after the jump created by Livestream.

Features and Functionality
The Livestream Studio Control Surface is available as either a Track module or Core module that can be combined together when required. This modular design allows for flexibility and scalability, making it an ideal solution for both small and large production teams. The Track module focuses on video switching and transitions, while the Core module handles audio mixing and other essential controls.
“Surface encompasses all of Studio’s broad functionality in an intuitive and familiar layout that you can take with you on the road. Tactile controls give you quick access to critical functions, including full motorized audio mixing and assignable triggers for current and future Studio features. Modular by design, Surface can be expanded as your production needs grow. Studio Surface is compatible with any hardware or software edition of Studio.”
The tactile controls are particularly noteworthy, providing users with a hands-on approach to managing their live streams. This includes motorized faders for precise audio control and customizable buttons that can be programmed for various functions. The layout is designed to be intuitive, reducing the learning curve for new users and increasing efficiency for experienced operators.
Applications and Use Cases
The Livestream Studio Control Surface is not just for large-scale productions; it is also suitable for smaller setups such as educational institutions, corporate events, and even independent content creators. For example, a university could use the Control Surface to manage live broadcasts of lectures and events, providing a professional-quality stream with minimal setup time.
In the corporate world, businesses can leverage the Control Surface for webinars, product launches, and internal communications. The modular design means that companies can start with a basic setup and expand as their needs grow, making it a cost-effective solution.
Independent content creators, such as YouTubers and podcasters, can also benefit from the Livestream Studio Control Surface. The intuitive layout and tactile controls make it easier to produce high-quality content without needing a large team. This democratizes the production process, allowing more people to create professional-grade live streams.
