The Lima personal cloud storage solution that originally launched via a successful Kickstarter campaign that helped the developers behind the device to raise just over $1.5 million. Has this week announced its secured a further $2.5 million in funding from French VC firm Partech Ventures.
The Lima personal cloud device has been created to help you drop online storage services such as Dropbox, Box and similar and consolidates all your files across all your devices.
The Lima personal cloud device is supported by Android, Mac, iOS and Windows devices and allows you to share folders and work on the same files as your colleagues, without size limits. Its creators explain :
“Lima reinvents the way your devices store data. Install it at home, and your smartphone, computer and tablet will display the same files, wherever you are, regardless of your device size.
Take your smartphone. It doesn’t have the same files as your computer. That’s because none of your devices talk to each other.Yet you want all your data on all your devices. It shouldn’t be this hard.”
