Apart from the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R, most of the Android Wear smart watches have a less than interesting design, and now LG just announced one of the best looking Android Wear devices we have seen, the LG Watch Urbane.
The LG Watch Urbane is designed to combine classic watch design with modern technology, and the device looks impressive from the photos.
The new Watch Urbane features the same 1.3 inch P-OLED display that can be found in the G Watch R, although it has a slimmer bezel and comes with a stainless steel body.
The LG Watch Urbane is available in two different colors, polished stainless steel and gold, and both models come with a stitched leather strap that are designed to give this smartwatch a classic look.
The 1.3 inch display on the device has a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels at 245ppi, the device is powered by a quad core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and it also comes with 512MB of RAM.
Other specifications on the new Watch Urbane from LG include 4GB of built in storage and a 410 mAh battery, the device comes with a dust and water proof rating to the IP67 standard.
It shares similar sensors to the LG G Watch R, which include a 9-Axis (Gyro / Accelerometer / Compass) / Barometer / PPG (Heart Rate Sensor).
“The LG Watch Urbane’s classic design and smart features make it the perfect smartwatch to complement our G Watch and G Watch R, which were designed as more casual and active devices,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG Watch Urbane is an important part of our strategy to develop wearable devices that are worn and viewed as everyday accessories, not electronic gadgets.”
