LG has today revealed a unique new mouse at the IFA 2011 that includes the functions of a scanner. The LG LSM-100 scanner mouse looks just like any other mouse on the market, complete with a mouse wheel and 5 buttons.
However, under the exterior of this mouse lies a 300 dpi scanner. Simply press the scan button on the left side of the mouse and move the LSM-100 mouse over the document to be scanned. Once complete, the mouse scanner will then save the scanned images as either a PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, XLS, or DOC file.
The LG Scanner Mouse LSM-100 is HID-compliant and equipped with a 1200 cpi Laser Class 1, together with a scanner that is capable of scanning documents up to 300 dpi in full color. Or using the supplied OCR text recognition, enabling you to scan text and then edit it within an MS Word document file.
