LG are holding a special Optimus press conference on the 14th of September, where they will be unveiling a new range of Optimus devices, either smartphones or tablets, or both.
Now it seems that the new LG Optimus 7 Windows Phone 7 smartphone has been shown off at this year’s IFA, and it looks like it will feature a slider QWERTY keyboard and will come with DNLA support for sharing media with DNLA enabled devices.
Innovative Multimedia Sharing
LG’s unique multimedia sharing technology on LG Optimus 7 allows users to enjoy content on the phone across today’s digital platforms with a simple finger flick. This preinstalled feature allows users to send files directly from the phone’s media galleries, without having to leave for another application. The phone will automatically display compatible devices in the same Wi-Fi zone and let users literally flick media files to the targeted device. Users can transfer multimedia saved on their phones — 720p HD videos, high-resolution photos and high-quality music files — wirelessly to their TV or home theater system.
One of the standout features of the LG Optimus 7 is its seamless integration with other digital devices. The DNLA support ensures that users can easily share their media content with other DNLA-enabled devices, such as smart TVs, laptops, and home theater systems. This makes it incredibly convenient for users to enjoy their photos, videos, and music on larger screens or more powerful audio systems without the need for cables or complex setups.
Enhanced User Experience
The slider QWERTY keyboard is another significant feature of the LG Optimus 7. This physical keyboard provides a tactile typing experience that many users prefer over virtual keyboards, especially for composing longer emails or messages. The inclusion of a physical keyboard can enhance productivity and make the device more appealing to business users or those who frequently communicate via text.
Additionally, the LG Optimus 7 is expected to come with a range of preinstalled applications and features that leverage the capabilities of Windows Phone 7. This includes integration with Microsoft Office, allowing users to view and edit documents on the go, and Xbox Live, providing access to a wide range of games and entertainment options. The phone’s interface is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, with live tiles that provide real-time updates and notifications.
As soon as we get full specifications on the LG Optimus 7, we will let you guys know. The anticipation surrounding this device suggests that it could be a significant player in the smartphone market, offering a blend of innovative features and robust performance.
