Owners of the LG Optimus 2X have been waiting for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for their handset for a while, and it looks like the wait is finally over as LG has now released the Android 4.0 ICS update for the Optimus 2X in Europe.
The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update brings a number of new features to the LG Optimus 2X, including the latest LG launcher, bringing the handset up to firmware version V30a.
The update has been released for the SIM free version of the LG Optimus 2X, and it is available to download from the LG update tool, there are no details as yet on when the update will be available with the various mobile carriers.
