Several manufacturers are rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for their flagship devices, but there are handsets which are still waiting for the latest update.
Recently, LG India confirmed the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the LG G2 is expected to roll out in the second quarter of 2015.
The update is yet to hit the LG G2 in India, but an official word from the company’s Indian Twitter account should come as a good news. They didn’t give out an exact roll out date, but even an expected time frame for the roll out is good as well.
As for the features introduced with the latest updates, it comes with an all-new Material design which introduces fluid animations and several visual tweaks. The update also comes with ART runtime which can improve the performance of the device, especially when it comes to apps, stability improvements, battery improvements, improved lock screen notifications, better multitasking interface and lots more.
The LG G3 has already received the update, and we’re hoping LG will make sure the update is available for the LG G2 in the region. Just make sure you have a backup of your device before you decide to upgrade your device.
We’ll update you as soon as it commences.
