Leica makes some very compact and high-quality digital cameras that also happen to be quite expensive in many instances. The company has unveiled a new digital camera called the Leica C that has a 12-megapixel resolution and uses a 1/17-inch CMOS sensor.
The camera has a bit more than seven times optical zoom and covers 28-200 mm in 35mm equivalent. The camera will also shoot full HD resolution movies and features optical image stabilization. The camera will come in my room or champagne colors and is the first camera from Leica to have an electronic viewfinder.
The camera also features integrated Wi-Fi and NFC technology for sharing images with smartphone applications. The camera will launch in October and pricing hasn’t been announced at this time. A number of accessories to go with the camera will be available as well.
