Facebook has this week rolled out a new update for their Android Facebook Messenger application which has brought with it a number of new tweaks and enhancements.
As well as adding new Android Wear notifications and voice reply features, users of the Android wearable operating system cannow see notifications and message people back directly from their wearable.
The latest version of the Facebook Messenger for Android Application is now available to download from the Google Play store and now enables Android Wear users to view message notifications as well as the ability to like or reply to messages on their smaller wrist worn devices.
As you can see in the image above Messenger notifications appear just as others do, enabling users to then swipe to access and leave a voice reply or single tap to “Like”. Facebook explains :
“Instantly reach the people in your life—for free. Messenger is just like texting, but you don’t have to pay for every message (it works with your data plan). Not just for Facebook friends: Message people in your phone book and just enter a phone number to add a new contact. Create groups for the people you message most. Name them, set group photos and keep them all in one place.”
