LaCie has created a new storage device in the form of the LaCie d2 which has been designed for professionals but will also provide, stunning speed for all, says LaCie.
LaCie has equipped with d2 storage device with both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 ports providing users to transfer speeds of up to 180MB/s, with the silence of a fan-free design.
The LaCie d2 is equipped with 1 x USB 3.0 port (UAS and USB 2.0 compatible) and 1 x Thunderbolt port capable of providing 10Gb/s transfers. The LaCie d2 is also equipped with AES 256-bit software encryption and system monitoring that will send email alerts when its temperature rises to unhealthy highs.

The new LaCie d2 external storage device is now available to purchase in either 3 or 4TB capacities for $300 and $400 respectively,and measures just 60 x 168 x 183 mm in size.
