LaCie has unveiled a new edition to their range in the form of a 2-bay network attached storage solution called the LaCie 2big NAS. Which is equipped with a pacey 2GHz processor, with increase file storage capacity, and has been designed by Neil Poulton. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
The latest LaCie 2big NAS has now been designed to be 10x more energy efficient when in deep sleep mode, and will provide Mac, Windows and Linux systems with transfer speeds up to 100MB/sec, without a problem. Providing a complete backup solution with total protection via RAID 1 and hot swap technology.
Interfaces in the NAS storage include a 1 x Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base-TX, with expansion ports 1 x eSATA ; 1 x USB 2.0. As well as being Time Machine and Windows 7 Backup compatible. The LaCie 2big NAS is now available with storage drives for around $300, or can be purchase fitted with 6TB of storage for $649.
