There have been rumors in the past that Samsung’s were looking to acquire Jay Z’s Tidal music streaming service and now those rumors have surfaced again.
According to a recent report by the New York Post, Samsung is in talks with Jay Z about a possible acquisition of Tidal.
Apparently both Google and Spotify are also interested in acquiring Tidal, although Samsung has a good relationship with Jay Z and has worked with him in the past.
Tidal apparently has around one million subscribers at the moment, the recent release of Kanye’s new album propelled the app to the top of the iTunes store chart.
It will be interesting to see of Samsung does acquire Tidal from Jay Z, it could be a good move for the company.
