MIPS Technologies and iPPea have partnered to create a new Android powered mini PC called the iPPea TV which is roughly the size of a USB thumb drive, and is now available to pre-order for just $50.
The iPPea TV has been created to provide users with an easy way to transform HDTV into Smart TV simply by inserting the iPPea TV into a spare HDMI port on the TV. Watch the video after the jump to see the iPPea TV in detail.
The $50 iPPea TV is powered by a 1.2 GHz JZ4770 processor and includes 2GB of internal storage and supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity. Its also equipped with a microSDHC card slot for extra storage is required and supports HD 1080p playback.
iPPea TV runs Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, and comes with a a selection of accessories including mini QWERTY keyboard complete with a gyroscopic sensor.
