We have heard various reports that sales of the new iPhone XS and the iPhone XR have not been what Apple had expected.
Apple has been trying to increase sales of the handsets and according to a recent report sales of the iPhone XS and iPhone XR are lower than last years models.
The news comes in a report from Mixpanel who have been monitoring adoption of this years new handsets.
According to the report iPhone XR adoption at five weeks after launch was at just 1.5 percent, in the previous year iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus adoption was sat at 3.6 percent for the same period.
Apple’s iPhone’s this year are the companies most expensive smartphones to date and Apple has also increased prices of their other devices. As growth in the smartphone market has slowed, Apple has tried to keep up its own growth with higher prices.
Personally I think that Apple has put their prices too high for their iPhones, last years iPhone X was expensive and this years models are even more expensive which could put people off and this is probably one of the reasons why Apple is not selling as many iPhones as the previous year.
