We have been hearing rumors for quite some time that Apple is working on a 4G LTE iPhone, and with the recent release of the iPad which comes with 4G LTE we are expecting the next iPhone to support 4G.
Now according to a recent report by the guys over at iDownloadBlog, references to a 4G enabled iPhone have been discovered in iOS 5.1, which you can see in the video below.
The references to 4G for the iPhone were apparently not present in the previous build of iOS, which was version 5.0.1, and they have only been added in iOS 5.1.
With apple launching a 4G LTE enabled iPad, we suspect we will see a 4G LTE enabled iPhone later this year, considering that the reason Apple didn’t release one previous was due to battery drain by LTE, but that seems to have been dealt with on the new iPad.
Apple has now announced the iPhone 5, have a look at our article on the difference between the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 to see all about the new iPhone 5.
