Last week we saw a leaked casing for the new iPhone 6S and also discovered that both of the new iPhone models would get an updated LTE modem from Qualcomm that would provide double the download speeds of the current devices.
Now we have some more information on what new hardware will be in this years iPhone 6S and 6S Plus handsets.
According to Mark Gurman from 9 to 5 Mac, the new iPhone 6S handset will come with an updated NFC chip, the device will also apparently feature a 16GB version as the entry level iPhone, there had been rumors that Apple may drop the 16GB version.
We also know from previous information that the new iPhones will come with Force Touch, the iPhone 6S is expected to feature a Full HD 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels where as the 6S plus is expected to come with a Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Apple is expected to introduce a new faster Apple A9 processor with the new iPhone 6S and 6S plus and the handset are also rumored to get more RAM than the current versions.
We also heard that the new iPhones would get update cameras with the front facing FaceTime camera being upgraded to a Full HD version which supports 1080p. The rear camera on Apple’s new smartphones is said to feature a 12 megapixel camera which will support 4k video and has been optimized for low light photography.
Apple are expected to launch their new iPhones some time in September along with iOS 9, we are also expecting to see their new iPad Pro at the same time.
