Apple are expected to launch the iPhone 6 along with the Apple iWatch in September, and according to a recent report, the iPhone 6 design has now been finalized.
The news comes from Timo Arcuri from Cowen and Company, who has received information from Apple’s supply chain regarding the iPhone 6.
Apple have apparently chosen a 4.8 inch display for the iPhone 6, the current iPhone 5S comes with a 4 inch display, and this ties in with previous rumors we have heard on a larger display for the iPhone 6.
The iPhone 6 will also apparently come with 802.11ac WiFi, this is the new WiFi standard that Apple has used on their 2013 Macs and also their AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule accessories.
As yet we do not know exactly what hardware will be inside the next generation iPhone, we can expect a 64-bit mobile processor, which may be the same one used in the iPhone 5S or an updated version.
We can also expect the handset to come with more RAM, and the device will also probably feature Apple’s TouchID fingerprint sensor that was introduced with the iPhone 5S.
Apple are expected to make major changes to iOS with the iPhone 6, and TouchID, Passbook and iBeacon are rumored to feature heavily in the next major release of Apple’s mobile operating system.
Apple will announced their financial results for their last quarter next week, the company is expected to announce record iPhone sales for the holiday quarter of 2013.
We are looking forward to seeing what the new iPhone 6 will be like, as soon as we get some more information on the handset, and also some photos, we will let you guys know.
