Reports from multiple sources have revealed this week that Apple has begun carrying out on site iPhone 5S screen replacements using the machine pictured above. Which has been specifically designed to replace iPhone 5 and 5C screens and precisely align the new screens on the iPhone frame.
Apple iPhone 5S owners that experience a damaged screen on their smartphone can now visit an Apple stores throughout the US and have their iPhone screen replaced in around one hour.
The Apple iPhone 5s screen replacement program requires customers bring the handset in for evaluation to check for water damage and other hardware failures that may require comprehensive off-site repair or replacement.
However once reviewed Apple is then able to offer owners an accurate quotation and repair timescale in a similar fashion to the already existing Apple on-site display repair options.
Depending on how your iPhone 5S screen was broken or damage and whether you have protected your iPhone using the AppleCare+ service. Prices are expected to be around $149 for a screen repair, which is considerably less than a charged for off-site replacements which can be in the region of $269. Unfortunately accidental breakage is not covered under Apple’s free limited one-year warranty.
