We have already seen some iPhone 4S unboxing photos, and shared our first impressions on the new iPhone 4S, and now we are having a look at the new camera on Apple’s iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 4S features an 8 megapixel camera with a CMOS backside illuminated sensor and a five-element lens with an f/2.4 aperture. This advanced camera setup allows for capturing more light, resulting in better low-light performance and sharper images. Additionally, the iPhone 4S camera is capable of recording full HD video in 1080p, and it includes built-in image stabilization to reduce motion blur and ensure smoother video recording.
Camera Performance and Features
We have only managed to snap a few photos with the iPhone 4S camera, which you can see below. The results speak for themselves, and the camera is very impressive, showing quite an improvement over the camera in the iPhone 4. The new sensor and lens combination not only enhances photo quality but also improves color accuracy and dynamic range. This means that photos taken with the iPhone 4S will have more vibrant colors and better contrast, making them look more lifelike.

Comparing iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S Cameras
When comparing the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S cameras, the differences are quite noticeable. The iPhone 4 featured a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.8 aperture, which was already considered good at the time. However, the iPhone 4S takes it a step further with its 8-megapixel sensor and f/2.4 aperture, allowing for more detailed and brighter photos. The backside illumination sensor in the iPhone 4S also significantly reduces noise in low-light conditions, making night photography much more feasible.
Moreover, the iPhone 4S’s ability to record 1080p HD video is a substantial upgrade from the 720p video recording capability of the iPhone 4. This improvement means that videos captured on the iPhone 4S will be crisper and more detailed, providing a better viewing experience on larger screens.
