Adobe Fresco iPad painting app

With Today at Apple and The Big Draw collaboration, Adobe has launched its new iPad painting app in the form of Adobe Fresco which was previously unveiled earlier this year. The Adobe Fresco is now available to download and use for no extra cost with a Creative Cloud subscription. But is also available to purchase separately without a subscription if preferred. Adobe is also making available a six-month trial and a free version of Fresco with a reduced set of tools, Adobe recommends using Apple Pencil but it is not required. Features of the painting app include :

– Over a thousand of your favorite desktop Photoshop brushes accessible on your iPad
– Exclusive Live Brushes that simulate creamy oil paint and blooming watercolors using Sensei technology
– Vector and raster brushes in the same app — no more switching between programs
– Roundtripping with desktop Photoshop so you can take your design further
– A modular interface with powerful tools that you can customize to work the way you want

“Fresco is a drawing and painting app built especially for iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and designed for artists who draw professionally or paint for passion. Fresco combines the power of your favourite Photoshop brushes with the precision of vector brushes and the revolutionary technology of Live Brushes, for unlimited expression. Paint with watercolors and oils that blossom, blend, smear, and smudge just like the real thing”

“Work with infinitely scalable vector brushes to create crisp lines, ready to print at any size. Easily import all your Photoshop brushes, or choose from over a thousand natural brushes created by celebrated master Kyle T. Webster. Fresco reimagines essential tools for illustrators, including modernised selection and masking, and a flexible UI so you can draw faster and without distractions. With Photoshop integration and automatic cloud syncing, brushes and projects follow you across devices, so you can work wherever inspiration strikes.”

Adobe Fresco iPad painting app requires iOS 12.2 or above and an iPad Pro, iPad Air 3, iPad mini 5, or fifth, sixth, and seventh-generation iPad.
