We have reviewed one of ioSafe’s external disaster proof hard drives before on Geeky Gadgets, now they have a new version available, although this one is designed to be placed inside your PC, the ioSafe Squadron.
The ioSafe Squadron is fireproof up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit for up to fifteen minutes, and it also has a built in reflective heat shield that can deflect up to 98 percent of the radiant heat from a fire.
As well as being fireproof, the ioSafe Squadron can also survive being submerged in up to 5 meter of salt or fresh water for up to 24 hours.
The good news about the ioSafe Squadron hard drives is that will fit in a standard hard drive bay, and they are available in a range of sizes from 80GB up to 320GB with prices starting at $219 from ioSafe.
