ION Audio has this week revealed a new addition to their range of speaker system with the unveiling of the ION Audio Road Warrior Bluetooth speaker that will be launching in August for around $400.
The ION Audio Road Warrior speaker is equipped with 200 W of music power from a Class-D amplifier driving two full range 10-inch woofers and two 1-inch tweeters.
ION has also equipped their new speaker with an extended Bluetooth range of 100ft rather than the standard 10m or 33ft range of most Bluetooth 3.0 devices.
When the ION Audio Road Warrior speaker starts shipping later this year it will comes supplied with a 12 V car power cable as well as a 12 V/7 Ah sealed gel lead-acid battery. However the length of time this will actually power the speaker for has yet to be announced by ION.
The ION Audio Road Warrior speaker also has an AM/FM radio is built in and its versatile design sits in angled or upright positions and includes multiple recessed handles for easy carrying, plus an 1/8-inch aux input to connect non- Bluetooth music players or smartphones.
