ClearView Audio has this week unveiled their new Clio transparent Bluetooth speaker at CES 2014 which is equipped with a 2-inch woofer and piezoelectric actuators in its base.
The piezoelectric actuators in the ClearView Audio Clio transparent Bluetooth speaker have been created to stimulate two thin membranes one in each channel that run along both sides of its transparent curved transducer.
The curved transducer within the ClearView Audio Clio speaker then moves back and forth in a “piston-like” motion to create the 360-degree stereo sound, which is emitted from both the front and rear of the 1mm thick transparent acrylic panel, that makes the ClearView Audio Clio so unique.
“Named after one of the nine goddesses of music, song and dance, Clio is thin, curved, clear and beautiful. Enjoy room-filling panoramic sound and the freedom of wireless connectivity with the first décor-friendly speaker that uses Edge Motion technology to disappear into the aesthetic of any room or style.”
The ClearView Audio Clio is a 24 watt speaker that seamlessly connects to your smartphone, tablets or computers using Bluetooth with a range of up to 9m or 30ft.
The new speaker is currently available to pre-order directly from the ClearView Audio website for $350 and is available in a range of finishes including silver, bronze and charcoal. For more information on the new ClearView Audio Clio jump over to the ClearView Audio website for details.
