Back in July, we talked a bit about the interesting ION Audio Piano apprentice that had been announced. What we didn’t know at the time is when you would actually be able to purchase the piano teaching device. ION has announced that the Piano Apprentice is now shipping.
It is still selling for the same $99.99 price tag we mentioned back during the summer. This little keyboard lights up to show you what keys to press and connects to the iPad for teaching. It has educational videos on the iPad as well all to teach you how to play without actually having to find a teacher.
The keyboard has 25-keys that are lighted. The app that goes along with the keyboard is free. The app will work with the iPad or the iPhone. The keyboard is also core MIDI compliant. Power for the keyboard comes from either batteries or an AC adapter that is included.
