PC owners with deep pockets looking to upgrade their systems during the autumn months of this year, might be interested to know that the new Intel Octo-core processor will be launching this autumn and will be available to purchase from $999.
For that price you will be able to install an Intel Octo-core Haswell-E chip in the form of the Core i7 5960 processor with 16-thread processor and unlocked cores, to make sure your system is really an extreme build.
If your budget won’t quite stretch to $999 and you are willing to drop a few cores there is the six-core $500 Intel i7 5930K processor. PC Gamer explains a little more :
“The Core i7 5820K could be the most interesting of the bunch. Rumours are that this hex-core CPU will be rocking the same hefty 15MB cache as the $500 part, but with slightly lower clockspeeds—somewhere around the 3.3GHz mark. Because of that ‘K’ we can expect it to be unlocked, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this $350 chip overclocking well.”
As more information is released about these extreme Intel processors closer to their launch date we will keep you updated as always. For more information on the new Intel Octo-core processor jump over to the Intel website for details.
