We have featured a number of wacky uses and hacks for Microsofts Kinect motion controller here on Geeky Gadgets. But one innovative music group have used the Kinectic to create a music video complete with anaglyphic 3D allowing you to see extra features whilst wearing a pair of stylish red and blue lens glasses.
Being the geeky I am I happened to have a pair in my desk draw and the effects are not bad at all on full screen. Watch the video after the jump.
The music video was created using a hacked Kinect and a 3D capture script and “shot” each scene with the Kinect storing the related 3D files in a flat text format. Then after a little bit of tinkering and tidying up, including occluding the background, they moved the files into Cinema 4D. You can see the full story of how the music video was created here and listen their music here, enjoy.
