If you have been patiently waiting for IKEA to launch their new IKEA Smart Shades you will be pleased to know that the furniture retailer is expected to launch the new smart blinds throughout Europe on February 2nd 2019 and throughout the United States a little later on April 1st 2019.
European sizing for the IKEA Smart Shades will take the form of 100x195xm, 120x195cm, 140x195cm, 60×195 and 80×195 and the smart blinds will be powered by a rechargeable USB battery pack together with a wireless remote control. And IKEA is now confirmed the IKEA Smart Shades will take the form of two lines of smart shades either using the remote control or support for Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit services. Features of the IKEA Smart Shades and pricing will be from €99-€155 or roughly $113-$181.
– The smartblinds can be controlled wirelessly to filter incoming light or prevent outside glare – depending on the activity in the room.
– With the help of the TRÅDFRI Gateway and App, blinds can be raised or lowered by the timer at the desired time.
– TRÅDFRI gateway / central control unit and TRÅDFRI app are coordinated. The app can be downloaded for free from Google Play or Apple App Store – depending on your phone or tablet model.
– Complete for control via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit or Google Home with TRÅDFRI Gateway and TRÅDFRI App.
