Hyundai has announced the launch window and pricing for the sweet hot hatch called the Veloster N Performance Package; the car hits dealers in December. The car starts at $29,000 plus an $885 destination fee. That puts the car right under $30,000 before options and tax, title, and license.
For the money, the Veloster N gets a 2.0L turbo four that makes 275hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. To go with the powerful engine, Hyundai has put lots of time into the handling and chassis of the car. It comes with a variable exhaust valve system that promises a sexy exhaust note.
Performance and Handling
Hyundai is offering the Veloster N only with a manual transmission, presumably a 6-speed but that isn’t clear. An N Corner Carving Differential that is a limited slip with electronic control is included along with big 13.6-inch front and 12.4-inch rear brake rotors. Wheels are 19-inch alloy units with 235/35R19 Pirelli P Zero summer tires.
The Veloster N’s suspension system is designed to provide a balance between comfort and performance. It features electronically controlled dampers that can adjust the stiffness of the suspension based on driving conditions and driver preferences. This allows the car to be equally at home on a twisty mountain road or a smooth highway.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Veloster N offers a driver-focused cockpit with sport seats that provide excellent support during spirited driving. The seats are upholstered in a combination of cloth and leather, with N logos embroidered on the headrests. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and features a flat-bottom design, which adds to the sporty feel of the car.
The Veloster N also comes equipped with a range of technology features to enhance the driving experience. It includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, allowing drivers to easily connect their smartphones and access their favorite apps and music. The system also includes navigation, so drivers can find their way to their next destination with ease.
Safety is also a priority for Hyundai, and the Veloster N comes with a suite of advanced safety features. These include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist. These features help to keep the driver and passengers safe by providing alerts and assistance in potentially dangerous situations.
Customization and Options
Hyundai offers a range of customization options for the Veloster N, allowing buyers to tailor the car to their preferences. This includes a choice of exterior colors, such as Performance Blue, Racing Red, and Phantom Black. Buyers can also opt for additional performance upgrades, such as a performance brake package and a lightweight battery.
In addition to the standard features, Hyundai offers a range of optional extras that can enhance the driving experience. These include a premium audio system, a sunroof, and heated front seats. Buyers can also choose to add a range of accessories, such as a rear spoiler, side skirts, and a front splitter, to give the car a more aggressive look.
Overall, the Hyundai Veloster N Performance Package offers a compelling combination of performance, handling, and technology at a competitive price. With its powerful engine, advanced suspension system, and range of customization options, it is sure to appeal to driving enthusiasts who are looking for a fun and engaging car.
