After countless number of leaks and rumors, Huawei has finally unveiled their latest flagship devices, the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus.
The handsets were unveiled at a press event in London, and has partnered with Leica to offer users with an impressive image capturing experience.
“Huawei is excited to give P9 users the best smartphone photography experience by leveraging the unrivalled capabilities of Leica, the leader in the world of imaging for more than 100 years,” said Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group. “Consumers around the world use their smartphones to take billions of pictures each year, making photography critical to user experience. P9 users can now capture images with unmatched clarity, richness and authenticity, with a masterfully designed and powerful smartphone that looks and feels incredible.
The Huawei P9 comes with a 5.9-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and ships with Kirin 950 SoC with four Cortex-A72 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. There are two versions of the handset, one ships with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage while the bigger 64GB storage option comes with 4GB of RAM. The most attractive feature is the 12MP dual rear camera where one of them capture color images while the other one takes monochrome images for greater details. Other features include 8MP front-facing camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The company also unveiled a bigger version of the handset, the Huawei P9 Plus. Most of the specifications on the P9 Plus are the same with a few changes, including a bigger 5.5-inch 1080p display, and a bigger 3,400 mAh battery. It ships with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
During the first launch wave, the handset will hit retail in the following markets on April 16th:

The Huawei P9 with 3GB of RAM will carry a €599 price tag, while the version with 4GB RAM/64GB storage will cost €649. As for its bigger sibling, the P9 Plus, it will cost a whopping €749.
