Earlier this year, Huawei introduced the budget-friendly Honor 6X smartphone which comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a promise that it will get the latest Nougat update.
According to a new report, Android 7.0 Nougat update is rolling out for the Honor 6X after facing a number of delays.
It was promised that the handset will get the new operating system by the first half of 2017, and though it might be a little late, it has started rolling out for the handset. The latest update will upgrade the handset’s interface to EMUI 5.0 and will reach all devices by the end of this month.
If you can’t spot the OTA notification on your device, don’t panic as the update roll out process is gradual and released in phases. So it might take a few days or even a week or so for the update to reach all devices. If you’re impatient, you can manually head over to settings and go to “Updater” and check if the update is available for your device
Let us know if you’ve received the latest Android 7.0 Nougat on your handset.
