Huawei officially launched their new Huawei Ascend Mate 7 phablet 6-inch smartphone earlier this week after leaked images ahead of IFA 2014 provided us with a first glimpse of the design and styling of the new smartphone.
From the IFA in Berlin a new Huawei Ascend Mate 7 hands-on video has been released by the team over at Mobile Geeks providing a first hand-on look at the smartphone.
To re-cap the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is powered by a Kirin 825 Octo Core processor which is constructed using 4 x A15 1.8GHz chips and 4 x A7 1.3GHz chips and supported by the choice of either 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage priced at €499 or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage option for €599. 30 markets around the world will be receiving the new Mate 7 device including China, Hong Kong, UK, Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
Other features of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 include a single-touch fingerprint scanner and 5 megapixel front facing camera for video calling, together with a 13 megapixel rear facing for video and photographs. Together with a 4100mAh battery and support for CAT 6 LTE offering data speeds of up to 300Mbps when in the right locations. The smartphone is also equipped with a single-touch fingerprint scanner, Huawei explains a little more :
“Ascend Mate 7 is possibly the market’s first 6-inch smartphone with instant single-touch fingerprint access to put an end to password fatigue. It enables users to unlock the phone at least 80% faster than devices that use a slower sweeping recognition option.”
