HTC has announced another Google Android powered smartphone, the HTC Tattoo, which will feature HTC’s Sense UI. This new addition to HTC’s lineup aims to provide a more personalized and intuitive user experience, leveraging the flexibility and power of the Android operating system.
The HTC Tattoo will feature a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen LCD with a resolution of 240 x 320, plus a 3.2 megapixel camera, with built-in auto-focus. Other specifications include a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor, and 512MB of RAM. This combination of hardware ensures that the device will be capable of handling everyday tasks with ease, from browsing the web to running various applications available on the Google Play Store.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Connectivity on the HTC Tattoo comes in the form of quad band GSM/EDGE, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, plus there is also built-in GPS, a digital compass, and an accelerometer. These features ensure that users can stay connected and navigate their surroundings with ease. The inclusion of WiFi and Bluetooth allows for seamless connectivity to other devices and networks, while the GPS and digital compass enhance the device’s navigation capabilities.
The HTC Tattoo also supports various multimedia formats, making it a versatile device for entertainment. Users can enjoy music, videos, and photos on the go, with the added benefit of expandable storage via a microSD card slot. This ensures that users have ample space to store their favorite media and applications.
Customization and User Experience
One of the standout features of the HTC Tattoo is its customization options. The device supports interchangeable covers, allowing users to personalize the look of their phone to match their style. This level of customization extends to the software as well, with HTC’s Sense UI providing a highly customizable interface. Users can arrange widgets, shortcuts, and apps to create a home screen that suits their needs and preferences.
The Sense UI also includes features such as Friend Stream, which aggregates social media updates from platforms like Facebook and Twitter into a single feed. This makes it easier for users to stay up-to-date with their social networks without having to switch between multiple apps.
The HTC Tattoo will go on sale in Europe in October, though there is no word on pricing as yet. Given its feature set and the reputation of HTC for producing quality smartphones, it is expected to be competitively priced to attract a wide range of consumers.
