It looks like the HTC One X will be headed to US mobile carrier T-Mobile, although the device which will be available on T-Mobile will be the HTC One X+, which is an updated version of the original HTC One X.
According to the guys over at TMO News, the HTC One X+ should land on T-Mobile some time in September. As yet, we do not have any information on what the upgraded specifications will be over the original HTC One X.
Expected Upgrades and Features
The HTC One X+ is anticipated to come with several enhancements over its predecessor, the HTC One X. While the exact specifications are still under wraps, there are a few educated guesses we can make based on industry trends and HTC’s previous upgrades. The original HTC One X featured a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 4.7-inch Super LCD2 display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It also came with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
For the HTC One X+, we can expect a faster processor, possibly clocked at 1.7 GHz or higher, and an increase in RAM to 2 GB or more. The display might also see an upgrade, potentially moving to a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Camera improvements are also likely, with a higher megapixel count and enhanced low-light performance. Additionally, the HTC One X+ could feature a larger battery to support the more powerful hardware and extended usage times.
Software and User Experience
Another area where the HTC One X+ could see significant improvements is in the software department. The original HTC One X ran on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC’s Sense UI. By the time the HTC One X+ is released, it could come pre-loaded with a more recent version of Android, such as Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, along with an updated version of HTC Sense. This would provide users with a smoother and more responsive experience, as well as access to the latest features and security updates.
HTC Sense is known for its user-friendly interface and additional features that enhance the overall Android experience. The updated Sense UI on the HTC One X+ could include new widgets, improved multitasking capabilities, and enhanced customization options. These software enhancements would make the HTC One X+ not only more powerful but also more enjoyable to use on a daily basis.
As soon as we get some more information on this new version of the HTC One X, including full specifications, an actual launch date, and some pricing information, we will let you guys know. The HTC One X+ is shaping up to be a compelling option for those looking to upgrade their smartphone, and its release on T-Mobile will make it accessible to a wide range of users in the US.
