HTC had some marketing problems in the past, despite the company hiring Robert Downey Jr. as in its ads. But, it seems the company might overcome this soon.
According to a new report, which has been confirmed by HTC as well, the Taiwanese OEM has hired Paul Golden, a former Samsung US chief marketing officer.
He worked for Samsung from 2008 to 2012, and has mentioned on his LinkedIn page that he “”created and launched the highly successful Galaxy brand.” These were the years where Samsung rose to global dominance and became the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer on the back of its strong marketing.
HTC said in a statement to The Verge,
“HTC continues to invest in talent and recruitment as part of our broader human resources strategy to ensure the continued strength of our company’s organizational structure.”
HTC has had its own set of problems, despite the fact that company made one of the best smartphones. Consider the HTC One, which was named the best mobile device at the Mobile World Congress this year, and was later succeeded by the HTC One M8, which has taken the cues from the HTC One M8, and improved it.
Let’s see if Golden can change the fate of the company or not.
