Details have been revealed today that Hewlett-Packard maybe preparing to use a high resolution display in its detachable HP Chromebook x2. With the imminent release of the Pixel Slate it seems that Hewlett-Packard will be equipping the HP Chromebook x2 with a 12.3 diagonal 3K2K IPS micro edge WLED backlit touchscreen, offering users a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels. If information gleaned from the official HP website by the About Chromebooks website is to be believed.

Unfortunately no other details are available about the display at the current time but the Chromed Unboxed website explains a little more : “Over on HP’s website, you can clearly see a model of the HP x2 with a 3000×2000 display; the same resolution found on the upcoming Pixel Slate. This could be a misprint, sure, but this display looks to be married to a device (X2 12-f004NF) with a better processor (core i5), more RAM (8GB) and double the storage (64GB) when compared to the model currently on offer over at Best Buy (X2 12-F014DX). This and the very-specific naming of the display make us think this is fully legit.”
