Robin Telecom Development has made available their new ProLine Compact HomeKit doorbell range finished in anodised aluminium and available in three colours offering silver, space grey and onyx black. The doorbell offers integration with Apple’s HomeKit smart home technology and is priced slightly more affordably than its previous range yet still fairly expensive at €495 or $546. As well as HomeKit support, Robin will also be rolling out HomeKit Secure Video next month.
“The modern designed video doorbell offers direct support for Apple HomeKit. Through the integrated scratch-resistant 130 ° wide-angle lens, you have a view of the visitor at your front door and you can safely start a conversation with them. Do you want an additional notification in addition to the notification on your Apple device? Then you can connect the built-in dry relay contact to an existing (conventional) chime.”
Features of the Robin ProLine HomeKit doorbells include :
– The HomeKit-enabled ProLine Compact comes with a 5 Megapixel video camera which provides HD (720p) resolution. The camera lens is a wide-angle lens with a 130 degree viewing angle (diagonal). The camera is protected by a dome made from hardened optical glass with photochromatic properties.
– The front panel is made of anodised aluminium (3 mm) with a light brushed finish. The unit is supplied with a surface-mounted housing.
– Call button based on piezo technology (tap instead of push) with backlit name label.
– The ProLine Compact can be connected to an existing chime with the built-in relay contact so that you can always hear the bell even if the iPhone or iPad in Do Not Disturb Mode
– The Robin ProLine Compact is powered via “Power-over-Ethernet”.
