Following suit with other manufactures today Hitachi has revealed to the world a number of new storage products, which it will be showcasing at this years CES show in Vegas later this month.
The new products include both internal and external drives and internal drives for Macs include the 2.5-inch, 5,400rpm 1TB Travelstar 5K1000 and the 3.5-inch, 7,200rpm 4TB Deskstar 7K4000.
The new external G-RAID and the G-Drive both utilise the Deskstar 7K4000 drive. When they arrive in stores the new G-RAID will be available in an 8GB capacity or 4TB in RAID 1, and will cost around $900.
While the new G-Drive is available in storage sizes from 1TB upto 4TB capacities. With pricing starting at $200 and finishing at$450 for the 4TB model. All the drives offer FireWire, eSATA and USB 2.0 connectivity.
Even thought the drives will be formatted for Mac users they can be re-formatted and used in other systems if required.
